Police Arrest Four Over Alleged Assault at Ashongman Estate
The Ghana Police Service has arrested four individuals in connection with an alleged assault incident at Ashongman Estate in Accra.
According to the Kwabenya District Police Command, the arrests were made as part of ongoing investigations into a complaint filed by a resident, Madam Hagar Emaser, aged 42.
Police say the incident occurred on March 13, 2026, when four men believed to be officials of Bill’s Microfinance visited Madam Emaser’s residence to demand repayment of a loan facility she had obtained. During the visit, the men allegedly assaulted her.
The suspects have been identified as Denis Wornyo, 38; Albert Amarh, 40; Ebenezer Amartei, 23; and Atsu Lawson, 27. They were arrested a day later, on March 14, 2026.
