The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery attack on the Berekum Chelsea FC team bus, an incident that tragically resulted in the death of one of the club’s players.
According to an official police update, the suspects include the alleged gang leader and an accomplice believed to have played a key role in the attack. The arrests were made following an intelligence-led operation by police teams.
During the operation, one of the suspects sustained gunshot injuries in an exchange of fire with officers. He has since been transported to a medical facility where he is receiving treatment under police guard.
