
The Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, has engaged the management of Swedru School of Business and Obrachire Senior High Technical School following a recent violent incident involving students from the two institutions.
The meeting was convened in response to public concern over the incident, which has drawn widespread attention both within the Central Region and beyond.
During the engagement, COP Donkor emphasized the need for calm and cooperation as the Police work to comprehensively address the matter. She directed the management of Swedru School of Business to produce the students involved within 24 hours to assist ongoing investigations.

According to her, compliance with the directive would help ensure a swift and thorough handling of the case.
The CID Director-General underscored the seriousness of the violence and the potential consequences for the students involved. She disclosed that investigations have formally commenced to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify all individuals connected to it.
COP Donkor also indicated that the victim of the incident is currently responding to treatment.
Reaffirming the commitment of the Ghana Police Service, she assured the public that the Service remains dedicated to ensuring accountability, maintaining law and order, and promoting safety within educational institutions.
The Police have urged students and school authorities to prioritize discipline and peaceful coexistence as investigations continue.
