RwandAir Suspends Doha and Dubai Flights Amid Middle East Tensions

Rwanda’s national carrier, RwandAir, has announced the temporary suspension of its flights to and from Doha and Dubai due to the evolving security situation in the Middle East.

In a travel advisory issued to passengers, the airline confirmed that flights WB300/WB303 (Kigali–Doha–Kigali) and WB304/WB305 (Kigali–Dubai–Kigali) have been suspended until further notice.

According to the airline, the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members.

“The safety of our passengers and crew remains our top priority. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available,” the statement said.

Passengers Advised to Reschedule

RwandAir has indicated that affected passengers may reschedule their tickets for travel at a later date without penalty. Customers are encouraged to contact the airline’s reservations team via reservations@rwandair.com or reach out to their preferred travel agents for assistance.

The airline also apologized for the inconvenience caused by the sudden suspension and expressed appreciation for customers’ understanding during the period of uncertainty.

The Middle East remains a key destination for travelers from East Africa, particularly through major transit hubs such as Hamad International Airport in Doha and Dubai International Airport in Dubai.

RwandAir has assured the public that further updates will be communicated as the situation develops.
