The Inspector-General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team has arrested a suspect in connection with a viral social media video in which she was seen wearing a Police uniform.
The suspect, identified as Esther Obasi, was captured in the widely circulated footage dressed in official Police camouflage as well as a standard black Police uniform, raising concerns over unauthorized use of official security apparel.
According to preliminary investigations, officers established a link between the suspect and a serving Police officer. The officer was subsequently invited to assist in investigations and produced the suspect to authorities.

During interrogation, the officer stated that he had given the uniform to the suspect to wash for him, a claim that is currently under further investigation by the authorities.
The suspect is currently in custody assisting Police with ongoing investigations.
The case is being handled by the Ghana Police Service, under the direction of the Inspector-General of Police, as part of intensified efforts to monitor and address improper use of official security uniforms and maintain public trust in law enforcement institutions.
Authorities say further updates will be communicated as investigations progress.
