KNUST to Suspend Academic and Commercial Activities on September 18 in Honour of Late Asantehemaa

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has announced that it will suspend work and all commercial activities on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in compliance with a directive from the Manhyia Palace. The directive, issued by the Palace, calls for the closure of shops, schools, and corporate institutions in Kumasi as part of arrangements for the final burial rites of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III. Police Restore Calm After Violent Student Protest at Tamale Technical University

The Northern Regional Police Command has restored calm at the Tamale Technical University (TaTU) following a violent student protest on Tuesday morning. According to police, intelligence indicated that around 9:00 a.m., about 500 students massed in front of the school’s administration block to stage an unlawful demonstration. The protest escalated when students set vehicle tyres ablaze at key locations, including the main entrance of the school from the Tamale Secondary School (TAMASCO) direction, the Police Post at Kpalsi, and directly in front of the administration block. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the release of the 2025 Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results. This was contained in a statement signed by Dr. Munawaru Issahaque, Acting Deputy Director-General (Q & A), on behalf of the Acting Director-General of GES. WAEC releases 2025 BECE provisional results; 177 candidates have entire results cancelled

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released provisional results of candidates who sat the 2025 BECE for School Candidates.The entire results of 177 candidates have been cancelled according to a press statement issued by WAEC on Saturday  [August 23] evening. The subject results of 718 candidates have also been cancelled, it said. In addition to the withholding of the entire results of 93 candidates, 1,240 candidates have had their subject results withheld. Meanwhile, the subject results of some candidates from 119 schools have been cancelled.
