TVET is not a dumping ground for underperforming students-Regional Minister

Mrs Justina Marigold Assan, Central Regional Minister, has urged Ghanaians to eschew the misconception that TVET was meant for non-performing students. She said this misguided notion had led to lack of appreciation for the value of what TVET stood for individuals, communities, and the nation. SD Dombo University graduates 2,321 students at 3rd congregation ceremony 

The SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS) has graduated 2,321 students, comprising 1,448 undergraduate and 873 postgraduate students, at its 3rd congregation ceremony. The number represented about 34 per cent increase over 1,513 students who graduated last year. Technical Universities Workers’ Pension Scheme investment increases 24.60 per cent in 2023

The Ghana Universities Workers' Pension Scheme investment return increased from GHc 137.02 million in 2022 to GHc 198.35 million in 2023. The figure represents 24.60 per cent for the 2023 financial year as compared to 21.20 per cent in 2022. Professor Solomon Abekah Keelson, the Board Chairman, Ghana Universities Workers' Pension Scheme announced this at the Scheme's maiden stakeholder engagement in Accra. Professor Keelson said the Scheme's benefits decreased by 5.16 per cent to GHc 5.02 million at the end of 2023 compared to GHc 5.29 million in 2022.
