The Accra Regional Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Israel Agbo Forson, a 32-year-old filmmaker from North Legon, who was captured in a viral social media video issuing threats to shoot any police officer he might encounter.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Police disclosed that an intelligence-led operation conducted on Monday, June 23, 2025, led to Forson’s arrest. The suspect, who was clearly identified from the disturbing footage, is currently on police enquiry bail and is assisting with ongoing investigations.
The Ghana Police Service has strongly condemned the threats made by the suspect, describing such actions as unlawful, inciteful, and dangerous to public safety. The Service emphasized that any act of incitement, threats, or obstruction against law enforcement officers will not be tolerated under any circumstance.

“This conduct undermines public peace and the authority of the Police,” the statement read.
The Police Command assured the general public of its commitment to maintaining law and order, and reiterated that individuals who engage in criminal behaviour—particularly actions that threaten the safety of officers and civilians—will be brought to justice without hesitation.
The public is encouraged to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious or threatening behaviour through the appropriate channels.
