President John Dramani Mahama has commended the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, for his visionary leadership in conceiving and developing the Kwahu Business Forum into a leading national platform for business dialogue and economic engagement.
Speaking at the Kwahu Business Forum 2026, President Mahama praised the initiative for its growing influence in fostering partnerships between the public and private sectors, noting its importance in advancing Ghana’s economic transformation agenda.
He further announced plans to elevate the Forum through the construction of a permanent convention, conference, and exhibition centre, to be developed in partnership with Metalex and Trasacco Group. The facility is expected to strengthen Ghana’s capacity to host large-scale business and investment events.

As part of the government’s 24-hour economy initiative, the President also introduced a series of incentives aimed at supporting businesses operating multiple shifts. These include duty-free importation of machinery and fast-tracked port clearance procedures, designed to enhance productivity, industrial expansion, and job creation.
President Mahama emphasized the importance of responsible corporate citizenship, urging businesses to ensure transparent tax compliance, adopt structured succession planning, and invest in smaller enterprises to stimulate sustainable growth and innovation across the economy.
He described the Kwahu Business Forum as a key driver of innovation, investment promotion, and strategic partnerships, reinforcing its growing importance within Ghana’s economic development landscape.
