Police restore calm after irate youth attack nsuaem police station

Calm has been restored at Nsuaem in the Western Region after a violent attack on the Nsuaem Police Station by an angry mob on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. According to the Western Central Regional Police Command, the incident began when a group of about fifteen men, accompanied by two children aged seven and five, brought a suspect, Sulley Moses, aged 25, to the police station. Fire incidents in Western Region down by 12 per cent in 2024

The Western Region recorded a decline in fire incidents last year by 12 per cent from 361 cases in 2023 to 317 in 2024. Reports from the Western Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) showed that there was also a decrease in fire-related injuries and fatalities from 184 injuries in 2023 to 30 in 2024. The number of fire related death also reduced from 20 in 2023 to 14 in 2024.
