Ghana Confirms Eight Citizens Killed in Burkina Faso Terror Attack; New Travel Advisory Issued
The Government of Ghana has confirmed that eight Ghanaian nationals have died following a jihadist attack in Titao, northern Burkina Faso, on 14 February 2026.
According to official information, seven of the victims were members of the Ghana National Tomatoes Traders and Transporters Association who were engaged in legitimate trading activities when the attack occurred. A previously injured victim, who had been receiving medical treatment after the incident, has since passed away, bringing the death toll to eight.
