The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) President Dr Patrice Motsepe began his two-day tour of the nations that will host the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) with a visit to Tanzania on Thursday, 19 December 2024. Dr Motsepe visited Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar on Thursday. He will travel to Kenya and Uganda on Friday where he will meet with the Heads of State and football leadership in the two countries. In Tanzania, the CAF President visited the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam where he inspected its readiness to host matches in the CHAN competition. The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) President Dr Patrice Motsepe today met Kenya Head of State, President William Ruto at State House in Nairobi, Kenya on Friday, 20 December 2024. Dr Motsepe was in Kenya as part of his working visit to the three countries that will host the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship 2024 (“CHAN”). Yesterday, he was in Tanzania. Later on Friday, he will travel to Uganda. CAF President Dr Motsepe and President Ruto discussed preparations for the CHAN tournament.
