Interior Ministry Announces Vetting Process for Historic Diaspora Citizenship Applicants

The Ministry of the Interior, in collaboration with the Diaspora Affairs Office at the Office of the President, has announced the commencement of vetting for applicants seeking Ghanaian citizenship under the “Historic Diaspora Community” initiative. According to the Ministry, the vetting exercise will begin on February 11, 2026, at the W.E.B. Du Bois Centre in Cantonments, Accra. Applicants will be invited in batches and are advised to wait for official notification regarding their specific vetting schedule before visiting the centre to prevent overcrowding.
