President Mahama applauds Gomoa Assin people for peaceful Ahorbaa Kese festival
Obirifo Ahunako Ahor Ankobia II, the Paramount Chief of Gomoa Assin Traditional Area and his people have been applauded for the peaceful celebration of the 2025 edition of the Ahorbaa Kese festival.
Mr Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere, the Central Regional Minister, made the commendation in a keynote address he delivered on behalf of President John Dramani, at a colourful durbar to climax the 2025 Ahorbaa Kese festival held at Gomoa Assin in Gomoa West.
The durbar followed two-weeklong traditional rites, customs and social activities for the festival held on the theme: “Celebrating the heroism of Egya Ahor: uniting people of Gomoa for development,” to generate funds towards the construction of an ultra-modern Traditional Council complex.
