President Mahama Recalls Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria Over Primary Election Allegations

President John Dramani Mahama has directed the immediate recall of Ghana’s High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed, popularly known as Baba Jamal, following allegations of voter inducement during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries in the Ayawaso East Constituency. NPP Bows Out of Tamale Central By-Election in Honour of Late MP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that it will not participate in the upcoming Tamale Central Parliamentary by-election to replace the late Member of Parliament, Alhaji Hon. Dr. Murtala Mohammed. Dr. Murtala Mohammed was among eight distinguished Ghanaians who tragically lost their lives in the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash while on national duty. The by-election was triggered by his passing, as required by Article 112(5) of the 1992 Constitution.
