Police Intercept Two Trucks Loaded with 152 Bales of Suspected Narcotics in Western Region
The Western Regional Police Command has intercepted two trucks carrying 152 bales of dried leaves suspected to be narcotic substances and arrested three individuals in connection with the case.
The operation took place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at about 5:20 p.m., when officers on duty at the Assorkor barrier near Shama stopped a Kia Rhino truck with registration number GE 8965-12. The vehicle was found loaded with bales believed to contain narcotic drugs. Upon spotting the police, the occupants of the truck fled the scene.
