From Legon to the Moon: Ghana Celebrates Astronaut Christina Koch’s Artemis II Mission
President John Dramani Mahama has joined the University of Ghana and the nation in celebrating NASA astronaut Christina Koch following her historic selection as a crew member of the Artemis II mission.
In a statement, President Mahama described Koch’s achievement as a moment of immense national pride, highlighting her unique connection to Ghana. Koch, who will be the only woman on the pioneering lunar mission, previously studied as an exchange student at the University of Ghana during the 1999/2000 academic year.
