Police Intercept Vehicle Carrying Suspected Narcotic Drugs on Accra–Aflao Road
The Volta Regional Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its fight against drug trafficking following the interception of a vehicle transporting suspected narcotic substances along the Accra–Aflao road.
The intelligence-led operation was carried out on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, when police personnel stopped a black Liberty Jeep with registration number FK 692 KF near Kpotame, close to Sogakorpe. The driver, Charles Adenkule, a 46-year-old Nigerian national, was arrested at the scene and is currently assisting police with investigations.
