Police Intercept Vehicle Carrying Suspected Narcotic Drugs on Accra–Aflao Road
The Volta Regional Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in its fight against drug trafficking following the interception of a vehicle transporting suspected narcotic substances along the Accra–Aflao road.
The intelligence-led operation was carried out on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, when police personnel stopped a black Liberty Jeep with registration number FK 692 KF near Kpotame, close to Sogakorpe. The driver, Charles Adenkule, a 46-year-old Nigerian national, was arrested at the scene and is currently assisting police with investigations.
A search conducted on the vehicle led to the discovery of ten (10) parcels of compressed substances suspected to be cocaine, each weighing approximately one kilogram. The substances are estimated to have a street value of about GH¢1...
