Police Arrest Three more suspects in Adabraka Gold Jewellery Shop Robbery

The Ghana Police Service has arrested three additional suspects in connection with the daylight armed robbery attack on a gold jewellery shop at Adabraka in the Greater Accra Region.

The suspects, identified as Fatao Mohammed, also known as Motorway; Nashiru Abubakari, also known as Soldier; and Sadick Abubakar Satire, popularly called 50 Cent, were arrested on 19th January 2026. Police sources indicate that the three are believed to be the main gang leaders behind the robbery syndicate.

With these latest arrests, the total number of suspects apprehended in relation to the incident has now risen to seven (7).

The robbery, which occurred on 2nd November 2024, involved a brazen daylight attack on a jewellery shop at Adabraka, during which an estimated GH¢7.5 million worth of gold and cash was stolen. The incident sparked public concern due to its bold nature and the scale of the loss involved.

In a statement, the Ghana Police Service assured the public that investigations are still ongoing and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all individuals connected to the robbery are arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

The Police Service further urged the public to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies by providing credible information that could aid ongoing investigations and enhance public safety.
