The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect, identified as Seidu, for his involvement in a robbery incident that took place at Offinso Abofour.
The arrest was made on Saturday, May 25, 2025, during a targeted police operation aimed at clamping down on criminal activities in the region. According to police sources, the robbery led to the theft of an unspecified quantity of gold and a considerable amount of cash.
Preliminary investigations have linked Seidu not only to the Offinso Abofour robbery but also to a series of similar robbery incidents across the country. Authorities believe his arrest could help uncover a broader criminal network operating nationwide.
Seidu is currently in police custody and is assisting investigators with further information. Police say efforts are underway to track down and arrest his accomplices, who remain at large.
In a statement, the Ashanti North Regional Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety of residents and bringing all perpetrators of violent crimes to justice.
