Lands Minister Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah Leads Ghana’s Delegation to COP 30 in Brazil

Ghana’s Minister of Lands and Natural Resources and Acting Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), has arrived in Brazil to lead the country’s delegation at the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP 30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The high-level conference, being held in Belém, Brazil’s northern city, brings together world leaders, negotiators, civil society groups, and climate stakeholders to discuss critical issues related to climate action, nature conservation, and sustainable development.

As head of Ghana’s delegation, Minister Armah-Kofi Buah is scheduled to deliver Ghana’s statement at the Summit of Heads of State on Thursday, November 6, 2025, representing President H.E. John Dramani Mahama. The address will highlight Ghana’s climate priorities, commitments, and expectations for global cooperation.

Ghana will also actively participate in ministerial dialogues, negotiations, and other scheduled engagements throughout the conference, which runs from November 6 to November 21, 2025.

Ghana’s presence at COP 30 underscores the government’s commitment to safeguarding the environment while fostering knowledge sharing, rich dialogue, and mutually beneficial partnerships with allied countries.
