Government Inaugurates National Timber Monitoring Team to Combat Illegal Logging
The government has officially inaugurated the National Timber Monitoring Team, a specialized task force mandated to oversee all timber-related activities within the country’s forest reserves.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the government charged members of the newly formed team to carry out their duties with the highest level of diligence, professionalism, and integrity. The team is expected to serve as the nation’s frontline defense against illegal logging and other activities that threaten the sustainability of Ghana’s forest resources.
