The Ghanaian music industry has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of fast-rising artiste Frederick Osei-Buabeng, popularly known by his stage name Phada Gaza.
In an official statement released by his management team, they confirmed the heartbreaking news, describing Phada Gaza as “a voice of his generation, an inspiration to many, and a proud representation of Kwahu and the Eastern music scene.”
The statement highlighted his immense contribution to Ghanaian music, noting that his energy, creativity, and passion for music touched countless lives, and that his legacy will continue to live through his art.

The management team also expressed gratitude to fans, friends, and supporters across the country for their love and condolences during this difficult time. They, however, appealed for privacy for Phada Gaza’s family and loved ones as they mourn their loss.
“We kindly urge the public and media to respect the privacy of his family, management team, and loved ones as we go through this painful loss,” the statement read.
“We further appeal to everyone to refrain from sharing images or videos from the morgue or any sensitive content related to his passing. Let us honor Phada Gaza’s memory with dignity, love, and respect.”
Phada Gaza was celebrated for his unique sound and commitment to promoting Eastern Region music. His songs, often infused with messages of hope and perseverance, earned him a loyal fan base both locally and beyond.
Details regarding his funeral arrangements and memorial activities, according to his management, will be communicated in due course.
