The Management of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced a review of its proposed approach to extending selected services to Ghanaians living abroad, following widespread public reactions.
In a statement issued by the Authority, Management acknowledged the feedback and concerns raised by members of the public after the initial announcement of plans to make certain DVLA services accessible to citizens residing outside Ghana.
According to the statement, the Authority appreciates the engagement and constructive responses received, emphasizing that public input remains vital in shaping policies and service delivery initiatives.

“In view of these sentiments, Management is reviewing the proposed approach and exploring alternative options to ensure that our services remain accessible to all Ghanaians, including those residing outside the country,” the statement indicated.
The DVLA further assured the public of its commitment to serving the collective interest of the Ghanaian people. It noted that efforts are ongoing to enhance service delivery systems and improve accessibility for both residents and citizens abroad.
The review is expected to address concerns raised while maintaining the Authority’s objective of expanding its reach and improving convenience for Ghanaians wherever they may be.
The DVLA reiterated that it remains dedicated to transparency, responsiveness, and continuous improvement in its operations.
