GOIL Holds Thanksgiving, Farewell Service For CEO

GOIL PLC has held an annual thanksgiving service in Accra. The event was attended by board members, staff, dealers, transporters and representatives of some regulatory agencies. The occasion was also used to bid farewell to the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr. Kwame Osei-Prempeh, who is completing his term of office after serving for five and half years. Electric buses will be piloted on Adentan-Accra and Ashaiman-Accra routes – Bawumia

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has commissioned the first batch of electric buses to enhance public transportation in the country. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says, the introduction of the electric buses is expected to reduce transport fares by 40 to 50 percent. One hundred of the electric buses were commissioned on November 27.  More than one hundred head potters, popularly called ‘ kayakyei,” have been trained to manage the electric buses. 20,000 Capacity Ghana Trade Fair Convention Centre To Be Ready In September – VP Bawumia 

The ultra-modern Ghana Trade Fair Convention Centre, which is being built , in La, Accra, is scheduled to be completed in September next year, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed. Election 2024: EC Recruits About 210,000 Officers, Ballot Papers Distributed To Police Armouries

As Ghana approaches its highly anticipated December elections, the Electoral Commission (EC) says it has made significant progress in its preparations. At a meeting with the National Election Security Taskforce the Chairperson of the Commission indicated that ballot papers have been distributed to Police Regional Armouries in all but three regions, with plans in place to complete distribution by the end of the day.  In addition, Biometric Verification Devices (BVDs) have already been sent to eight regions, with the remaining devices expected to be delivered by the weekend. Mr Wilson Kwami Agbanyo, the Kadjebi District Chief Executive (DCE), has broken the ground for the construction of new three-unit classroom block and ancillary facilities for the Kadjebi Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P) Central Junior High School in the Oti Region. Mr Agbanyo said the project was funded by the Coastal Development Authority (CoDA) and was meant to replace the old structure, which had its roof ripped off by rainstorm in 2022. PWDs at North Tongu receive assorted items from government  

The Government, through the North Tongu District Assembly in the Volta Region, has distributed assorted items to 55 persons with disability (PWDs) in the district to promote inclusivity and empowerment. The items included industrial sewing machines, ice chests, bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, cassava grinding machines, wheelchairs, gas ovens, deep freezers, and sacks of charcoal.
