Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has called on newly graduated medical professionals from the Accra College of Medicine to uphold the institution’s values and extend their expertise to underserved communities across the country.
Speaking at the College’s graduation ceremony, the Vice President praised the graduates for their dedication, noting that their achievements reflect the founding vision of the institution. She emphasized that their academic success goes beyond intellect, shaping their character through hard work and sacrifice.
She urged the graduates to prioritize service over personal convenience and allow the core values of the College—empathy, compassion, integrity, and dedication to service—to guide every decision they make in their medical careers.

“Your training is not just for yourselves,” she said. “It is for the communities where your skills are most needed. Let these values be your compass as you navigate the path ahead.”
The Vice President also highlighted the crucial role of education in national development, describing it as “one of the most sacred tools for building a nation.” She commended the Accra College of Medicine for its continued growth and expressed optimism about the institution’s future impact.
“As we celebrate the journey of the Accra College of Medicine, we also look forward to how much further it can go and how many more lives it will transform,” she added.
The ceremony marked yet another milestone for the College as it continues to train the next generation of medical professionals committed to excellence and service.
