Environmental Health Department embarks on clean-up exercise to tackle filth in Nsuaem
In a bid to tackle filth in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality, the Environmental Health Department of the Assembly over the weekend embarked on a clean-up exercise in Nsuaem.
The residents, who participated actively in the exercise, closed their shops and halted businesses for sometime to ensure that the work was completed first.
They cleared choked gutters, weeded, swept along the road, and collected refuse, which was carried away for disposal by waste management trucks.
Mr Ebenezer Cobbinah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tarkwa Nsuaem, in a brief remark, lauded the residents for their massive turnout, and underscored the need for a collaborative effort to maintain cleanliness.
