Police arrest four more suspects over murder of Jirapa Dubai CEO

Four more suspects have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service in connection with the murder of the Chief Executive Officer of the Cossy Hill Hotel (Jirapa Dubai) at Jirapa in the Upper West Region. The renowned businessman Eric Johnson was found dead in a pool of blood in one of his hotel rooms on Sunday, February 11. The Upper West Regional Crime Scene Management Team was immediately deployed to the scene, leading to the arrest of one Kumbata Kwaku, who was suspected to be involved in the murder. Police in an update disclosed that four more people had been picked up in connection with the murder. Below is the police update. Police foil robbery attack, arrest two suspects

The Police have arrested two suspects, Adams Kwame and Abubakari Sharif, for preparation to commit robbery. The suspects, together with two others, currently on the run, were today 14th September 2023, arrested at the Tweapease Police checkpoint when they attempted to escape from the Police during a routine stop-and-search operation. Items retrieved from suspects are a pump-action gun, two live BB cartridges, two machetes, and a catapult. Preliminary investigations have established that the suspects had in their possession the exhibit items in their quest to commit robbery. The two are currently in Police custody and will be put before court while efforts are underway to get the remaining two, who are currently on the run, also arrested.

The Police have arrested three suspects for unlawful possession of firearms in Japa near Wassa Akropong in the Western Region. The Police, through an intelligence operation on 27th March 2023, the suspects in their hide out. Seven accused persons including two young ladies were arraigned before Koforidua Circuit Court “A” on Monday, July 4, 2022, for preparing wee toffee. The accused persons were arrested last week when a joint team of Military, Police, Immigration and New Juaben South Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) as part of a fact-finding mission invaded Rumors’ spot. Four Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested

The Police have arrested four robbery suspects who attacked a mining site at Fenaso Ketewa near Obuasi, Tuesday, June 2, 2022. The robbers, armed with pump-action guns attempted to rob the miners of some gold ore but they were unsuccessful. They, however, were able to make away with fifty litres of diesel. A special intelligence-led operation conducted by the Police led to the arrest of suspects, Porideme Moses, Boadi, Agya Owusu and Osofo at their hideout. 2 suspects detained over deadly attack on Zacholi community

Two arrests have been made over the recent raid on Zacholi, a community of cattle herders at Yendi in the Northern Region. The two, including a female, are assisting the police with its investigations into the raid where nine persons were murdered, others injured and several properties destroyed. Three Suspects Arrested for Illegal Possession of Firearms Two targeted intelligence-led operations conducted at Tema Community 25 and Dansoman on February 21, 2022, led to the retrieval of some weapons and ammunition. The operation at Tema Community 25 led to the arrest of suspect Abdul Razak, aged 46 years, for possessing a firearm without lawful authority. Court grants 25 suspects arrested in a police swoop bail

An Ofaakor circuit court has granted 25 suspects arrested in a police swoop, bail in the sum of 10,000 with one surety. The 25 were part of over 300 persons rounded up by the Central regional command for their alleged involvement in crimes in the Kasoa enclave which has become notorious for vices. The 25 were charged with cyber and electronic fraud. TV3’s Komla Adom who was in court reported that the suspects are to reappear in court on May 19.
