The Bono Regional Police Command has arrested fifty-four (54) suspects in a series of coordinated swoop operations aimed at clamping down on illegal drug peddling, drug abuse, and robbery-related criminal hideouts across the region.
The operations, which form part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to rid communities of crime and drug-related activities, were conducted through separate but targeted, intelligence-led exercises by the Regional Police Intelligence Department (PID) and other personnel. The swoops covered several communities including Abesim, Banda, Nkrankwanta, Odumase, Dumasua, Wenchi, and Dormaa.
According to the Police, the suspects, aged between 17 and 45 years, were picked up at various locations identified as hotspots for drug use, peddling, and other criminal activities. Among those arrested are Rev.
