Police crack down on wanted robbery gang in Ashanti region; Three suspects arrested

The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested three suspected members of a robbery gang believed to have been operating in parts of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region. According to police, the arrests were made on 15 February 2026 during an intelligence-led operation at Mangoase near Pokukrom. Officers conducted coordinated raids on several suspected hideouts linked to the group. The suspects — Aziz Abubakar, also known as Romeo, Faraway Amari, and Patient Asare — were apprehended during the operation. Police arrest five suspects for robbery at Nkaseim

The Ghana Police Service has arrested five suspects in connection with a robbery attack that took place in December, 2025 at Nkaseim in the Ahafo Region. On 2nd December 2025, the suspects, together with other accomplices armed with weapons, blocked the Goaso-Tepa road and simultaneously attacked the Nkaseim Police Station, Adwumapa Cocoa Buying Company, Kobby Gold Buying Company, and the Asutifi Rural Bank area at Nkaseim.
