Kadjebi mourns the loss of ‘Korea’

Residents of Kadjebi in the Oti Region have expressed mixed reactions to the recent directive by Mr Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education, advocating the use of local languages as the medium of instruction from kindergarten to primary three. The directive, which forms part of the government’s efforts to improve literacy and comprehension among early-grade learners, seeks to promote effective teaching and learning by encouraging teachers to communicate in languages pupils understand best. Some 100 youths to benefit from National Apprenticeship programme in Kadjebi

Dzindziso accident in Kadjebi District claims one Life 

Mr. Moses Komla, a Kadjebi-based Carpenter, died on the spot when his motorbike crashed into a stationary cargo truck with registration number WR 3274 C parked at Dzindziso, a farming community in the Oti Region.  Mr. Komla, who was carrying his friend, Assistant Station Officer (ASO) Edward Amedy of the Kadjebi District Command of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), was returning from Dodi-Papase, another farming community in the Kadjebi District, when the unfortunate incident occurred between 1830 and 1900 hours on Sunday, April 6.  Mr. Hamza Lucman, an Assemblyman for Dzindziso Electoral Area, stated in an interview with the GNA that he received a distress call about the accident that night.  When he arrived at the scene, he found the deceased lying on the ground, whil...

Kadjebi DCE cuts sod for construction of classroom block for Kadjebi E.P Central JHS

Mr Wilson Kwami Agbanyo, the Kadjebi District Chief Executive (DCE), has broken the ground for the construction of new three-unit classroom block and ancillary facilities for the Kadjebi Evangelical Presbyterian (E.P) Central Junior High School in the Oti Region. Mr Agbanyo said the project was funded by the Coastal Development Authority (CoDA) and was meant to replace the old structure, which had its roof ripped off by rainstorm in 2022. He asked the contractor to speed up work as the students needed the edifice for academic work.
