In the Kadjebi District of the Oti Region, approximately 100 youths, comprising 70 females and 30 males, are set to benefit from the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP).
These individuals will receive training in vital skills such as hairdressing and seamstress/tailoring, with their applications already submitted to the National Secretariat of the programme.
Mr. Sampson Quashigah, the Kadjebi District Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), shared this information during an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA).

He also noted that around 50 members of the local business community and market traders would receive support in the form of soft loans through the “Adwumawura” Programme.
In addition, Mr. Quashigah announced that 50 youths would be recruited for a Community Policing programme in the district.
He emphasised the government’s commitment to fulfilling its campaign promises and encouraged community support to ensure the success of these initiatives.
The National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP) is a major Government initiative to address youth unemployment, close the skills gap, and promote economic growth across Ghana.
NAP offers free, high-quality apprenticeship training to equip young people with industry-relevant technical, vocational, and entrepreneurial skills. “Adwumawura” Programme, a flagship programme of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, aims at creating at least 10,000 sustainable businesses annually with training, funding, and mentorship to drive economic transformation.
