Volta Police Intercept 26 Sacks of Suspected Narcotic Drugs in Ho

The Volta Regional Police Command has intercepted twenty-six (26) sacks of substances suspected to be narcotic drugs following a well-coordinated intelligence-led operation in Ho. According to the Police, the operation was initiated after intelligence was received on January 23, 2026, indicating that a white American Ford wagon bearing Ghana Health Service inscriptions had been loaded with suspected narcotics at Dzolokpuita and was heading towards Ho. Police Nab Seven Human Trafficking Crackdown,Rescue 48 in Ho

The Ghana Police Service has arrested seven suspected members of a human trafficking syndicate and rescued forty-eight victims following two intelligence-led operations in Ho, in the Volta Region. The arrests were carried out on 8 and 10 January 2026 at Fiave Dablah Ayekple Street, Ho CK Road and Somey Junction. The suspects have been identified as Emmanuel Asiamah, Frimpong Jerry, Paul Mensah, Bismark Perry, Vida Gefah, Ebenezer Kwabena Owusu and Prince Kaku. Police investigations revealed that the victims—mostly young adults and students—were allegedly lured with false promises of travelling abroad. Sporadic shooting rocks Ho Zongo, 10 injured, 15 arrested

Volta Police secure 19 year jail term for armed robber in Ho

The Volta Regional Police Command has secured a major legal victory with the successful conviction and sentencing of a notorious armed robber, Paul Avortide, popularly known as “Tinted.” The 25-year-old was handed a 19-year sentence with hard labour by the Ho Circuit Court on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. According to police reports, the incident occurred on May 21, 2025, at around 4:00 a.m. at Tsikpota near New Housing, Ho. GWCL restores water supplies to Ho and its environs
