Keta MCE extends Christmas goodwill message to residents 

Mr Wisdom Seade, the Keta Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), in the Volta Region, has extended a heartfelt Christmas goodwill message to the residents in the area. 

Mr Seade, wished all residents a joyous Christmas season and a happy new year and expressed his commitment to working tirelessly for the development of Keta in the subsequent years. 

Mr Seade, in his messages, further expressed gratitude to all assembly members, staff, casual workers, national service personnel and others for the various roles played within the year for the smooth running of the affairs for the progress of the assembly. 

“All thanks goes to the Almighty God for another successful year, the year 2025 comes with a lot of challenges but we thanked God that he led us through successfully.” 

Mr Seade thanked Mr Kwame Dzudzori Gakpe, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area for the close working relationship which had reshaped the fortunes of the municipal assembly and drived the progress of improving the lives of residents. 

He said the Keta Municipality had faced several challenges, including flooding and economic growth, which the assembly and the government were determined to solve and have provided various mechanism to alleviate subsequent occurrences. 

“The assembly has also initiated efforts to improve infrastructure, education, and healthcare services in the municipality.” 

The MCE also commended the government for releasing funds to initiate development projects in various communities, which included the construction of community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds, renovation of the Anlo-Afiadenyigba market shed, and rehabilitation of streetlights, among many other development projects. 

The Anyako water works project was also  on the verge of completion while works on school infrastructure at Abor were ongoing with residents expressing optimistic about the prospects for growth and development under Mr Seade’s leadership. 

He encouraged the residents to believe and build trust in God and collaborate with the assembly to work together and bring many more development projects to various communities for the development and progress of the area. 

Mr Sead said  2026 was expected to be a year of success, good health, progress, job creation among others, to produce a conducive environment for all individuals within the area and called for unity and peace. 

The MCE’s Christmas message was seen by many residents of Keta as a testament to his commitment to serving the area, which reminded them of the hope and promises for a brighter future. 

Madam Dzifa Amenyaglo, a residents of Abor, who spoke to the Ghana News Agency, said that some of the projects initiated by the MCE would improve healthcare access, safety, and security in the municipality. 

She expressed appreciation to Mr Seade for the initiatives which were expected to improved safety and boost businesses from the streetlight rehabilitation project. 

Some other residents said that Mr Seade’s engagement through community meetings and forums to explain government initiatives and projects, was a recommendable part of his Municipal Development Dialogue within his first 100 days in office and brought together stakeholders to craft a Municipal Development Agenda. 

They believed that the MCE’s initiatives would boost economic growth and improve the lives of residents with the hoped that the Keta Municipal Assembly would continue the commitment to transparency and accountability in project implementation. 

The festive season is used as an opportunity for residents to reflect on the progress made and look forward to a brighter future in 2026 with positive change for the progress of the assembly.
