Asante Kotoko have named their starting XI for their Ghana Premier League match against Legon Cities, with goalkeeper Frederick Asare returning to the lineup as captain. Asare steps in for Cameroonian shot-stopper Moise Pouaty Camara, who is suspended for this game.
In defense, Daniel Adjetey makes his home debut, taking the right-back position in place of Lord Amoah, who misses out due to injury. Meanwhile, Samuel Tenadu is drafted into the midfield to cover for Justice Blay, who is suspended after receiving a red card in Kotoko’s last game.
A major boost for the squad is the return of winger Elvis Kyei Baffour. The talented attacker is back in the starting lineup after being sidelined for three months with a groin injury.
The bench also sees some new faces, with youth striker Abdul Isaka making the matchday squad for the first time. He is joined by fellow youth team player Vitus Avoka, as Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum includes promising talents in his squad for this crucial fixture.
Kotoko will be aiming for a strong performance as they continue their push in the league.
