The Berekum Circuit Court has remanded a suspect, Emmanuel Yeboah, into police custody for his alleged involvement in offences of attempted murder and causing harm.
The court, presided over by His Honour Mr. Osei Kofi Amoako Esq., made the order following the suspect’s appearance in court in connection with an attack that left two people seriously injured.
According to the Bono Regional Police Command, Emmanuel Yeboah was arrested on 3rd January 2026 after police received a report of a violent incident involving his brother and his brother’s wife. The victims reportedly sustained multiple injuries during the attack.

Preliminary police investigations suggest that the suspect allegedly ambushed the victims while they were on their way to a disputed cashew farm. The incident is believed to have been triggered by a long-standing disagreement over the ownership of the farm.
During the arrest, police retrieved a cutlass, which has been kept as an exhibit to aid investigations. The injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment at a health facility, where they remain on admission.
Emmanuel Yeboah is expected to reappear before the Berekum Circuit Court on 12th January 2026 as investigations continue and proceedings resume.
