Experienced German tactician is the new Technical Advisor of the Black Stars  

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced major changes in the technical direction of the Black Stars, as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March.  Leading the pack of new technical team members is experienced German tactician Winfred Anton Shaefer, with over 40 years of experience and an AFCON trophy with Cameroon in 2002.  He would act as the Technical Advisor to Coach Otto Addo to build a winsome team.   In addition, he would also play the role of Director of Football for the Football Association.  Coach Schafer assumes the role having excelled in a managerial career spanning a little over 40 years working with a number of national teams (Cameroon, Thailand and Jamaica) as well as European clubs including Borussia Monche...

The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has announced a new initiative taking place from February 5-8, 2025, combining two major events: the SFA Expo and Riyadh Marathon. This initiative aligns with SFA’s mission to inspire healthier lifestyles and foster community engagement through physical activity. The SFA Expo, from February 5-7, 2025, at JAX District, will feature interactive zones focused on health, fitness, and wellness. These include areas for kids’ sports, physical activities, athlete success stories, fitness technologies, and healthy eating. The CAF Disciplinary Board has released a verdict on the matters involving the Federación Ecuatoguineana de Fútbol ("FEGUIFUT") and the Fédération Congolaise de Football ("FECOFOOT") following the complaint filed by Equatorial Guinea on their TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 Qualifier home and away matches. Thirteen meetings on five different continents will feature on the 2025 World Athletics Continental Tour Gold calendar, which has been published today. In the sixth season of the Continental Tour, the top tier comprises events in some of the biggest cities in the world. Gold level action kicks off on 29 March in the Australian city of Melbourne, where World Athlete of the Year Letsile Tebogo is due to compete, then the series heads to Gaborone, Botswana, two weeks later (12 April).
