Petroleum Commission gives 3.6 billion contracts to indigenous companies 

The Petroleum Commission (PC) has so far awarded over $3. 6 billion worth of contracts to Indigenous GhanaianCompanies (IGCs), Mr. Kwaku Boateng, the Director, Local Content has announced. Again, about $8. 7 billion worth of contracts have been awarded to foreign companies while $6.3 billion went to Joint Ventures (JVs). Kpando Gadza Women Association inaugurated to equip members with economic skills 

A voluntary group, Kpando GadzaWomen Association, has been inaugurated in Kpando in the Volta Region to equip members with skills to improve their standards of living.  The Association with a current membership of 86 had already began producing ointments, shower gel, liquid soaps and hair balms which are awaiting registration with the Ghana Standards Authority. Mr Felix Akakpo, an Accra-based businessman, has handed over a newly constructed police station to his community, Lente-Wute in the Ketu South Municipality. The new building has a charge office, male and female detention cells, offices for the Station Officer and Criminal Investigation Department, an armoury, ultra-modern washrooms and five residential self-contained rooms for Police personnel.
