Kasoa: Dabronx Pub Presents Live Band On December 26

  Dabronx Pub in Kasoa will be the centre of attraction on December 26th 2023 when they host a live band show. The Pub will showcase the best of live bands performed by MJ BAND ONAAPO at its premises. Dabronx Pub is located at Safari Junction on the Adade- Nyanyano Road direct opposite the NICK petroleum filling station. This will be one of the biggest outdoor events during these Christmas festivities inside Kasoa in the Central Region. According to the organisers, top personalities within Kasoa and Accra will pass through to grace the event.

Ghanaian journalist aims for Guinness World Record in Longest Singathon

Ghanaian journalist Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has secured approval from Guinness World Records (GWR) to undertake an ambitious singing marathon (singathon) lasting between 117 to 120 hours. In her pursuit of the longest individual singathon, Mrs. Aduonum, a staunch advocate for women's empowerment, plans to focus exclusively on songs from Ghana, specifically celebrating Highlife, Hiplife, and Gospel genres.   Each song will be limited to a maximum of two minutes, with GWR regulations permitting song repetition only after a four-hour interval. The current record, set in 2012 by Indian Sunil Waghmare, stands at 105 hours, a mark that Aduonum is determined to surpass. Ethiopian artist Julie Mehretu breaks African art-world record again

US-based Ethiopian Julie Mehretu has once again broken the record for the highest sale price of any work by an African-born artist at auction. Her abstract painting Walkers With the Dawn and Morning fetched $10.7m (£8.6m) at Sotheby's in New York on Wednesday. Unemployed before court for allegedly causing trader to lose sight

An Accra Circuit Court has granted a 24-year-old unemployed man bail in the sum of GHC50,000.00 with three sureties for causing a trader to lose his sight.Micheal Ahiati allegedly punched the left eye of Joseph Appiah-Kubi for stepping on his leg. Appiah-Kubi, who cannot see with his left eye, had awoken in the middle of the night to pass urine when he inadvertently stepped on Ahiati, resulting in the punches. Ahiati has denied punching Appiah-Kubi in the left eye.The Court presided over by Mrs Ellen Offei Ayeh granted him a GHC50,000.00 with three sureties. Police Inspector Daniel Ofori-Appiah told the Court that Appiah-Kubi, the complainant, is a trader and Ahiati, is unemployed.
