Vice President of the Republic, Her Excellency Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, was admitted to the University of Ghana Medical Centre on Saturday, March 29, following a sudden illness she experienced after work the previous evening.
According to official sources, the Vice President received initial treatment at the facility and is currently in stable condition. However, based on expert medical advice, she will be traveling abroad to continue with further medical care.
The Office of the Vice President has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and well-wishes, and assures the public that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure her full recovery.
“We wish the Vice President a speedy recovery,” a statement from the Presidency noted.
