Two Arrested for Unlawful Possession and Discharge of Firearms at Funeral

The Western North Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals for the illegal possession and discharge of firearms during a funeral celebration. According to a statement from the Public Affairs Directorate of the Regional Police Headquarters, the suspects, identified as Frank Afoko (41) and Kojo Agyapong (31), were apprehended on April 2, 2025, at about 2:00 PM by the Western North Police Intelligence Department. The arrest was carried out with the support of the Formed Police Unit. The police began investigations after a viral video, recorded at a funeral in Attakrom near Bibiani on March 14, 2025, showed several individuals openly firing weapons without legal authorization.
