Ridge, 37 And Police Hospital Allegedly Reject Sick Prison Officer

A Prison Officer based at Kete-Krachie in the Oti region had a close shave with death Wednesday night after he was hit with hypertensive emergency but could not find a bed in some major public hospitals in Accra.The Officer, Second Class officer Stephen Nyarko, who was carried by an ambulance from his base in Kete-Krachie was rejected by the Police Hospital, Ridge Hospital, and the 37 Military hospitals because there was no bed to admit him on. The desperate family of the officer returned him to the Police Hospital in the hope that he will be treated in the ambulance but that did not happen as health workers of the facility said there were protocols to follow.The sick officer, according to Starr News sources, was taken to the senior correctional center (Bolsta ) infirmary for monitori...

The Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate, says the alleged acts of “Baby Harvesting/Human Trafficking” involving Dr Noah Kofi Lartey, a Medical Officer at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (GARH-RIDGE), did not take place at the Ridge Hospital. Ridge Hospital suspends staff for malpractice

The Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge, has suspended two of its staff for engaging in administrative malpractices. They are Mr Thomas Osei, Counter Medicine Assistant and Mr Divine Kumordzi of the Sewing Unit of the Hospital. A statement issued in Accra by the Hospital said Mr Osei would serve a two-week suspension without salary for inappropriate and unauthorised sale of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the Hospital premises. Mr Divine Kumordzi, on the other hand, would refund all monies realised regarding unauthorised and inappropriate sale of face masks on the Hospital premises. Covid-19: Chinese embassy, Chinese community in Ghana donates to the Ridge Hospital

The Chinese embassy in Ghana together with the Chinese community hasdonated items to the Greater Accra regional hospital to complementgovernment effort at dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic. Ghana’s case count stands at 12, 193 with 58 deaths and over four thousandrecoveries. The donation led by the Chinese ambassador to Ghana, Shi TingWang included 15 respirators, 20,000 medical masks, 1600 N95 masks, 120protective suits, 60 face shields, and 100 medical goggles.
