Kadjebi residents share views on shortlisted candidates for DCE post.

Some residents of Kadjebi in the Oti Region have expressed divergent views on the three candidates shortlisted for the District Chief Executive (DCE) position for Kadjebi. While some said the selection criteria was shredded in secrecy, others said the three were "fine gentlemen for the post". Three candidates; Richard Akrasi, Akan Constituency Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Isaac Abavon, Akan Constituency Secretary of the NDC and Dr. Sam Suraj Issaka, Research Scientist with the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission have been shortlisted for DCE post for Kadjebi. Oti Region MDCEs Race: 27 shortlisted candidates vie for top spots

The race for the positions of Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) in the Oti Region has intensified, with 27 shortlisted candidates vying for the top spots. The shortlisted candidates, all men, were selected from the nine Assemblies in the region, with three individuals chosen from each assembly. The vetting committee carefully evaluated the qualifications and suitability of all applicants before making the final selection. Mr. Gabriel Kwami Lemboe, Regional Secretary, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the Committee had completed the process for the candidates vying for positions in the various assemblies. Prof Opoku Agyemang to ramp up support for Mahama in Oti Region

The vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, is starting a tour of the Oti Region on Thursday. She will spend the next two days in the region to canvass for votes for NDC presidential candidate, Mr John Dramani Mahama, and the party’s parliamentary candidates.
