GNFS Intensifies Fire Safety Education and Inspections Across Greater Accra Communities
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has carried out a series of fire safety education and inspection exercises in parts of the Greater Accra Region, including Nungua, Anyaa, and Abehenase, as part of ongoing efforts to promote fire prevention and safety awareness in commercial and public spaces.
At Nungua, the Lekma Fire Safety Team engaged shop owners on common fire hazards, preventive measures, and appropriate emergency response actions. The team also demonstrated the correct use of fire extinguishers, with particular emphasis on the safe handling and storage of flammable materials to reduce the risk of fire outbreaks.
