The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has directed the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) to investigate allegations captured in a viral video concerning the unauthorized withdrawal of GH₵400,000 from the account of a mobile money agent at Kibi. The Ghana Police Service, through the Special Support Unit, has arrested three suspects in connection with a series of robberies reported in Afienya, Atadeka, Apollonia, and surrounding communities in the Greater Accra Region. Two Arrested for Possession of Suspected Indian Hemp in Eastern Region

The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals, Hawa Ibrahim and Latifa Adams, for possessing a large quantity of suspected Indian hemp. The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, during an intelligence-led operation in Antokrom, Eastern Region. A search of Hawa Ibrahim’s residence uncovered 24 maxi bags containing 1,650 slabs of compressed and ball-shaped substances believed to be Indian hemp. Both suspects are currently in custody and assisting police with investigations. Authorities have confirmed that the suspects will be processed through the legal system.
