NDC Youth Wing Mourns the Passing of Comrade Kofi Wayo

The Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mr. Patrick Prince Ankrah, affectionately known as Kofi Wayo, describing him as a “dedicated youth activist, entrepreneur, and fearless advocate for justice.”

In a statement signed by the National Youth Organizer, George Opare Addo, the NDC Youth Wing said it received the news of his death “with deep sadness and heavy hearts.” Mr. Ankrah reportedly passed away after a short battle with illness.

The statement highlighted Kofi Wayo’s remarkable influence among young politicians across the country, praising his honesty, charisma, and steadfast commitment to his colleagues and the ideals he believed in.

“His sudden departure is not only a loss to his family and friends but also to an entire generation of young politicians who saw in him a voice of compassion, loyalty, and selflessness,” the statement read.

The Youth Wing described him as a unifying figure whose personality transcended political boundaries.

“In a nation often divided by ideology, Kofi Wayo reminded us that integrity, compassion, and patriotism transcend party lines,” it added.

While mourning his loss, the NDC Youth Wing also celebrated his life and the values he represented — loyalty, courage, and service to others.

The statement further extended heartfelt condolences to his wife, Emefa, their two children, his friends, and all Ghanaians sharing in the moment of grief.

“His voice may be silenced, but what he stood for will continue to resonate with us,” the Youth Wing noted.

“Rest well, Comrade Kofi Wayo. Your light will not fade. Your struggle endures,” the statement concluded.
