As the much-anticipated Kwahu Easter celebrations approach, the Member of Parliament for Mpraeso Constituency Hon. Davis Ansah Opoku, has made a formal appeal to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to ensure stable and uninterrupted power supply throughout the greater Kwahu area.
In a message shared publicly on Facebook, the MP emphasized the importance of reliable electricity in supporting the success of this year’s festivities, which are expected to draw thousands of visitors, including President John Dramani Mahama, cabinet ministers, tourists, and local families.
“Let’s keep the lights on, the music playing, and the businesses thriving,” the MP urged. “Reliable electricity is key to a safe, vibrant, and memorable Easter experience.”
The statement, tagged with hashtags such as #KwahuEaster2025 and #KeepKwahuBright, calls on ECG to play its part in powering the celebrations and maintaining the energy that has come to define Kwahu Easter.
The appeal reflects the high expectations and national attention the annual event garners, as well as the critical role of infrastructure in ensuring its success.
