Eastern Regional Minister Visits Kwahu Ahead of Easter Festivities

Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, has arrived in Kwahu ahead of this year’s Easter celebrations, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting festive period in the Eastern Region.

Preparations are in full swing as the region gears up for a range of cultural, business, and recreational activities that draw thousands of revellers to Kwahu each year.

Among the highlights of the festivities is the highly anticipated Paragliding Festival, which will officially begin tomorrow, 18th April, and run until 21st April 2025. The event will take place at the iconic Odweanoma Mountains, where both local and international paragliding enthusiasts are expected to take to the skies, showcasing thrilling aerial displays and offering unforgettable experiences.

In addition, the Kwahu Business Forum will be held on 19th April 2025 at the Mpraeso Social Centre, providing a platform for business leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss investment opportunities and economic development in the region.

Hon. Awatey encouraged Ghanaians and tourists alike to visit Kwahu and participate in the celebrations, highlighting the region’s unique culture, natural beauty, and vibrant community.

The Kwahu Easter Festival has over the years become a hallmark of Easter celebrations in Ghana, blending traditional festivities with modern entertainment, and this year is set to be no different.
