Ghana Police Service Outlines Robust Security Measures for 2025 Easter Celebrations

As the nation prepares for the 2025 Easter festivities, the Ghana Police Service has announced the implementation of nationwide security measures aimed at ensuring a safe and peaceful celebration for all citizens and visitors.

In a press release issued by the Public Affairs Directorate of the Police Headquarters in Accra, the Assistant Commissioner of Police and Director of Public Affairs, Grace Ansah-Akrofi, confirmed that officers have been strategically deployed across various communities and on major roads throughout the country. This move is intended to boost public safety and prevent crime during the Easter period.

The release also highlighted that special security arrangements have been made specifically for the Kwahu area, which annually hosts the famous Paragliding Festival and other major events during Easter. These arrangements are expected to ensure smooth coordination and safety for all attendees.

The Police Service urged members of the public to remain security-conscious, vigilant, and proactive in reporting any suspicious activities. Citizens were encouraged to collaborate with the police to help maintain order and protect lives and property.

Ending on a warm note, the statement extended Easter wishes to the public: “The Police Administration wishes you a happy Easter.”

The Ghana Police Service also reminded the public that emergency services are available and can be contacted at any time during the festive season via their official numbers and platforms.
