The Minority Caucus in Parliament has held an interaction session with the leadership of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) across 25 tertiary institutions as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s presence on campuses nationwide.
During the meeting, the Caucus emphasized the urgent need for all TESCON executives to actively promote the vision of the party’s flagbearer, Mahamudu Bawumia, within their respective institutions.
The engagement focused on enhancing campus-based political organization, improving digital communication strategies, and shaping proactive narratives that resonate with students and young voters.

Strengthening Campus Structures
According to members of the Caucus, building a well-structured and coordinated campus network is critical to sustaining the party’s intellectual base. They urged TESCON leaders to ensure effective organization at the institutional level, with clear communication channels and active student engagement.
The session also highlighted the importance of mentorship, policy discussions, and student-focused outreach programs to deepen political awareness and participation.
Embracing Digital Communication
A significant portion of the discussions centered on the strategic use of digital platforms. The Caucus encouraged TESCON executives to leverage social media and other digital tools to promote the party’s policies and achievements, particularly among the youth demographic.
They stressed that in today’s political landscape, digital communication and narrative control are essential in shaping public perception and countering misinformation.
Rallying Support for 2024 Agenda
The Minority Caucus reiterated its commitment to working closely with TESCON to ensure that Dr. Bawumia’s vision for Ghana is effectively communicated and embraced by students across the country.
The meeting forms part of broader efforts to consolidate grassroots support, strengthen the party’s intellectual appeal, and mobilize the youth ahead of upcoming political activities.
TESCON leaders who participated in the session expressed their readiness to intensify campus engagements and align their activities with the broader strategic direction of the party.
